1. GTNM’s Commitment to Accuracy & Editorial Integrity
At GTNM, we strive for accuracy, fairness, and transparency in all content. While we make every effort to fact-check and verify information before publication, errors, omissions, or updates may require us to issue corrections or revisions.
This policy explains:
- How and when we issue corrections
- How we differentiate between minor updates and major corrections
- How AI-assisted content is revised and updated
- How readers can request a correction
By using GTNM’s website, Substack, or Facebook page, you agree to this policy.
2. When & Why We Issue Corrections
- ✔ A factual error is identified in a published article, forecast, or editorial piece.
- ✔ AI-generated or AI-assisted content produces inaccuracies that need revision.
- ✔ New information emerges that significantly changes the context or meaning.
- ✔ A typographical, grammatical, or formatting mistake affects clarity.
- ✔ A third party provides verifiable proof that our content contains an error.
GTNM does NOT issue corrections for:
- ❌ Disagreements over opinions, analysis, or editorial viewpoints.
- ❌ Predictions, probability models, or AI-assisted forecasts that do not come true.
- ❌ Minor editorial changes that do not affect the meaning of the content.
3. Levels of Corrections (Minor vs. Major)
✅ 3.1. Minor Edits & Routine Updates (No Public Notice Required)
- ✔ Fixing typos, grammar, punctuation, or style errors.
- ✔ Updating broken links or formatting issues.
- ✔ Revising content for readability without changing its meaning.
Example: Adjusting a sentence for clarity without altering the information.
⚠ 3.2. Substantive Updates & Clarifications (Noted in Article)
- ✔ Updating articles with new relevant information.
- ✔ Clarifying wording or context to avoid misinterpretation.
- ✔ Adjusting AI-assisted probability models when new data alters outcomes.
How We Note It: Updates are clearly labeled at the top or bottom of the article.
Update – April 10, 2025: This article has been updated to reflect new polling data that affects our probability model.
3.3. Major Corrections & Retractions (Public Notice Required)
- ✔ Significant factual errors that materially impact the article.
- ✔ Misinformation, misquotes, or misinterpretations.
- ✔ Legal, ethical, or journalistic violations requiring acknowledgment.
How We Note It: A correction notice will appear at the top of the article. Major issues may result in a standalone correction or retraction post.
Correction – April 10, 2025: This article previously stated that [incorrect claim]. It has been corrected to reflect that [accurate statement]. We regret the error.
Retractions: In rare cases, GTNM may fully retract the article and provide public notice with explanation.
4. AI-Assisted Content Updates & Revisions
GTNM uses AI tools for drafting and forecasting, but all content is reviewed by human editors.
4.1. When AI-Generated Content is Updated:
- ✔ When new data affects forecasts.
- ✔ When AI summaries misinterpret source material.
- ✔ When AI tools are retrained or improved and earlier content needs alignment.
Note: GTNM’s probability models and AI-driven analysis are editorial insights, not predictions.
