1. What Constitutes User-Generated Content (UGC)?
User-Generated Content (UGC) refers to any content submitted by users on GTNM’s platforms, including but not limited to:
✔ Comments on GTNM’s website, Substack (https://substack.com/@gtnm), or Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/PDXIndyNews/)
✔ Forum discussions and replies
✔ Guest articles or submissions (if applicable)
✔ AI-generated content submitted by users
✔ Media uploads (images, memes, or documents shared in discussions)
Users are fully responsible for any content they submit. GTNM does not assume ownership or liability for user-generated content.
2. User Responsibilities & Content Ownership
Users retain ownership of their submitted content but grant GTNM a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, store, and distribute their content on GTNM platforms.
Users must ensure their content is lawful, accurate, and does not infringe on any third-party rights (copyright, trademark, etc.).
GTNM is not responsible for user opinions—all views expressed in comments, forums, and discussions belong to the respective users.
If you submit content, you agree that:
✔ You have the legal right to share it.
✔ It does not contain illegal, defamatory, or misleading statements.
✔ You take full responsibility for any consequences arising from your submission.
3. AI-Generated Content Guidelines
Users who submit AI-generated or AI-assisted content must:
✔ Clearly disclose that AI was used.
✔ Take responsibility for fact-checking AI-generated text before submitting it.
✔ Not use AI-generated content to impersonate real people, spread misinformation, or misrepresent reality.
Prohibited AI Uses:
❌ AI-generated text that falsely claims to be human-written.
❌ AI-generated images, deepfakes, or altered media that deceptively modify real-world events.
❌ AI-created spam, bulk content, or automated submissions.
4. Prohibited Content & Moderation Rules
GTNM moderates user content to ensure discussions remain constructive, lawful, and respectful. Users must NOT post or submit content that includes:
Hate Speech & Harassment – No racism, sexism, homophobia, or targeted abuse.
Misinformation & False Claims – No knowingly spreading false news, conspiracy theories, or AI-generated disinformation.
Impersonation – No pretending to be another person, public figure, or GTNM staff member.
Copyright Violations – No sharing content you don’t own or don’t have permission to use.
Spam & Self-Promotion – No excessive advertising, link-dumping, or repetitive messaging.
Graphic, Violent, or Illegal Content – No extreme violence, explicit material, or illegal activities.

Failure to comply may result in content removal, user bans, or reporting to relevant authorities.
5. GTNM’s Right to Remove or Modify Content
GTNM reserves the right to:
✔ Remove any user content that violates this policy or is deemed harmful.
✔ Edit or moderate submissions for clarity, legal compliance, or formatting.
✔ Restrict or ban users who repeatedly violate rules.
Users do NOT have a guaranteed right to have their comments or content published. GTNM may remove content at its sole discretion without notice.
6. Liability Disclaimer for User Content
GTNM is NOT responsible for the accuracy, legality, or reliability of user-generated content.
GTNM does NOT endorse or verify claims made by users in comments or discussions.
GTNM is NOT liable for damages resulting from exposure to user-generated content.
If you see content that violates this policy, please report it to GTNM for review.
7. Enforcement Actions (Warnings, Bans, Content Removal)
GTNM uses a three-strike enforcement system for content violations:
⚠ First Violation: Warning & content removal.
⛔ Second Violation: Temporary suspension or restricted access.
Third Violation: Permanent ban from GTNM platforms.
Severe violations (e.g., threats, illegal activity, harassment) may result in an immediate ban.
8. Updates to This Policy
GTNM reserves the right to update this policy to reflect new moderation tools, legal standards, or community expectations.
✔ Changes will be posted here with an updated “Last Updated” date.
✔ Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically.
